Three Outreaches Recently Raised to Missions

IMission of the Holy and Life-Creating Cross, Marana AZn the past month, three of our outreaches have been visited by Bishop Artur and been officially raised to the status of Missions. 

These decrees of canonical recognition cement the status of these new Missions as viable communities under the care of their mother parishes, and with God's grace and guidance puts them on the track to one day becoming new complete parishes within the eparchy. 

As a part of this new status, each new mission chose it's patron and new name:

Mission of St. Raphael the Archangel, Santa Paula CAOn January 4th, the Marana outreach of St. Melany in Tucson was raised to a mission and is now the Byzantine Catholic Mission of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Creating Cross. 

On January 6th the Santa Paula outreach of St. Mary Proto-Cathedral in Sherman Oaks was raised to a mission and is now the Byzantine Catholic Mission of St. Raphael the Archangel.

Mission of Blessed Bishop-Martyr Theodore Romzha, Ft. Collins CO
And on January 18, the Ft. Collins outreach of Holy Protection Mother of God in Denver, CO was raised to a mission and is now the Byzantine Catholic Mission of Blessed Bishop-Martyr Theodore Romzha, Ft. Collins.
